you would think they could find the technology that they have here stateside to keep a buffet hot. Your best bet is to have fresh eggs made, or fresh meat grilled at dinner.
We asked for later dinner times but were told they were already to full. The service staff were warm and welcoming and treated us like family. If we ever decide to return, it will be for the beach and the service staff. That was a big disappointment because the eating at the buffet all week gets old. It was warm and sunny in Mexico and bitter cold at home.
There were two weddings going on while I was there, and they had car service, beautiful grounds, the staff seemed to be very accomodating. They have their own "hut" for wedding coordination, a cute little chapel on the beach, and a larger chapel in the new section of the resort.
There are excursions for the bachelor/bachelortte parties which we also encountered on a snorkeling trip and plenty of nightlife at the Jaguar disco that is a state-of-the art disco complete with go-go girls. But this wedding was held right on the beach, next to a club house/covered section that can be used for receptions.
Not sure why an all-inclusive resort would need kitchenettes to begin with but it dated the room. Technically it does sleep 5 when you call the front desk and ask them to bring up another daybed. The site says that the room contains 1 king bed and 2 sofa beds which is misleading. So when you’re in the living room of the suite, you’re sitting on someone’s bed sheets and leaning on their pillow.
I raised these issues to Cheap Caribbean while we were in Mexico, it’s now 2 weeks later and I have yet to hear back. Absolutely our best family vacation in Quintana Roo, so far.
They have a weddings office and can coordinate everything start to finish.
This was exceptionally disappointing because the Cheap Caribbean site said that the Family Rooms were available starting on 12/23/17, we checked in on the 26th expecting a newly renovated room. There was a kitchenette in the room that was easily 20 years old.We were there at the end of May and it was HOT and HUMID.Even on our off-season weekend, we saw 5-6 people get married, so it's obviously popular. I would recommend to use the end of the beach on the South because less people can be involved that you don't want at your wedding. If it does not have dollar signs, then it will be included as part of the all inclusive package.kayaking, sailing, free, rent snorkeling or bring your own, fishing? I did not do kayaking, fishing or windsurfing but these had prices on the board. For example, if you snorkle you can only check out the equipment for a hour for free. Not sure what the fee is..brought our own equipment. They have a lot to do and really is included except the stuff I told you. All of the "Non-Motorized" watersports are included free of charge...would be like Kayaks, canoes, 3 wheel water trikes, wind surfing. Bring your own snorkel gear if you can....it's easier.....snorkel equipment gear is free to use at the resort, but you do have to leave a deposit and it's for a period of time, not all day. Take a taxi into playa del carmen for good food/shopping., they have a dock, but feed the fish, perhaps surf fishing when the beach is empty, they can arrange off grouds fishing trips, windsurfing too is free. They also have, for a fee, those lift u up over the water, and fly thingies You can do this after your arrival, my husband went fishing and it was a lot of fun. The only thing you have to pay extra for is the scuba lessons and fishing. We went and did not spend more than 0 on silly things like hair braids and pottery for kids and souvenoirs. Jet-Skis, Para-sailing and things like that are fee for service. All the activities that you mentioned come with your package. Now if you want to go snorkeling elsewhere than that will cost you because it will take place elsewhere but if you are on a budget just stay at the hotel. Don't take their shuttle, you will only get a short time in the town and there is a lot to do.
But so will the overarching concept - stay at one, play at five - along with all the 24-hour all-inclusive goodness: food, drinks, entertainment, and activities - in the water and out of it. Service staff with the exception of the front desk and workers who arrange your ala cart meals were wonderful.
